THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD CEREBRATE X-MAS

BY REV. STEPHEN OKHUTU
revivaluganda@gmail.com

As we cerebrate Christmas, every one has a reason why he participates in the cerebrations. To a businessman, that is when more sales are predicted (especially those dealing in seasonal items).

To a Christian there should be not many reasons but one: Remembering the Love of God.

Yes, Love is the only reason why we should be cerebrating this great birthday of our union founder – Christ!

There is a wide misconception that a true Christian is the one who frequents Church, sings religious hymns, repeatedly say religions jargons and while others have even gone to the extend of calling themselves ‘Born Again’ or ‘Christian’ as the first name!
The fact is going to Church doesn’t make you a Christian but just a hypocrite –Just the contrary of Jesus’ teaching! The bad thing is that a hypocrite has ho identity! Nether a Christian nor otherwise!

This Christmas season should help us discover ourselves. We either chose Jesus follow his ways, practice his teachings or we stop calling ourselves his followers.

I have seen many who claim to be Christians acting exactly the contrary of what they claim to be. For instance involving themselves in witchcraft practices, holding sword against each other. No wonder the largest number of murders in history were committed in religious wars! Sounds like we are fighting for the God who can’t save himself. And if he can’t then how is he going to save ourselves? The Bible states that our God is powerful and mighty. Is this not because he can fight his battles as well as ours?

Amazingly is this era, many so called Christian leaders are busy forming sects with intentions of making money than preaching the word of God. At the end we find distortions, misquotations and misinterpretations of the Bible –The holy book in Christianity!

What is the Solution?

In all what is said and done, we still have hope! Our hope is in knowing Jesus, his mission and what he wants to do as his followers.

The only reason you can believe in somebody to the extent of following him is because of what he does. Before Jesus was born, (Note this as you remember his birthday) there were many religions but most of their leaders were corrupted in the power struggles. In the process we saw divisions with each claiming to be the right.

So Jesus stressed love in his teaching. Love not for wealth but of God and our fellow human beings. Practically he lived a simple life to prove how easy is it to show love if we don’t thing about material things.
So love is the best gift we can give this festive season. Love not only your friends but even those you believe to be your enemy. I see no reason why a Christian should engage in battles with a Moslem just because of religion.

In my earlier discussions with a Catholic Priest, this is what he told me; He said that if we concentrate on doing good we can win souls but if we intend to change the whole world to Christianity, then we will no doubt die trying because this is what even our forefathers – the so called saints were doing.

Nelson Mandela one of the most cerebrated peace advocate is quoted saying that when you engage in a battle aim not at becoming a saint but a winner such that you may live to tell the story.

At this point I believe you have got the point. Show love and have peace or start hating and killing whoever is not on your side. But do it on caution; only if you believe you can fight and change the whole world.

Happy Christimas!

Is Christmas worth Cerebrating?

'The house of worship has been turned into a den of thieves' -Jesus

Merry X-mas!

As we cerebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, there are many things we as his followers ought to know. Basically, it has become common a practise that on such a season everybody must atleast get a new property/item. These are commonly food, clothes and alot more items depending on the income of an individual.

In reality, the day which would have been used to renew the inner person of the cerebrant is used for commercial purposes to make money instead. In Africa, this is the period when a reasonable number of women divorce their husbands just because the husbands have failed to buy a new cloth or 'good food' for the wife.

More voilence especially domestic are experienced on such a day. For the youth, the generation on which we have hope that in the future the image of God may be properly exhibited, are cerebrating Christmas season in just a different style! Sexuality, drug abuse, fights and many other evils are seen among the youths on the 25th of December, the sacred day on which our Lord is said to have been born!

The basic intentions of Jesus' coming to this world is never seen on this day. In fact even in churches, what is done there are just organised functions which, if not peceived as a source of intertainment, they are taken as a sign of presitgue among the cerebrant, such that church going is an event of showing off new clothes, hair styles, and money!

For sure, we all know that Jesus came to prove the divinity of man. His Birth, life, teaching, Miracles and even death was proving that man was made in the true image and likeness of God. That man has the power to co-create.

The wide misconception of Jesus' ministry has largely contrubuted to the commercialisation of the Christmas day! The mumerous sects that come out every other day in the Christian faith is the true sign of this commercialisation syndicate. Every sect wants to make money through the gospel!

Otherwise, Jesus did not come to divide among the people of God. In fact even the Bible condemns divisions among believers. Unfortunately, we tend to take the term believers to mean the followers of a particular sect. At the end you find that the love which Jesus empathised in his teaching has been lost in the process.

Lies, defamations, murders and many kinds of religious evils have characterised humanity with each sect taking the other as not worth living with.

I was imagining how two christian groups could decide to fight each other just because the other group have divergent views on a particular principle!

My prayer is, that as you read this, may you spread the gospel of Love, peace and unity among fellow human beings. In this way you will be creating universal peace and brotherhood, you will be showing the characterisitic of a true Christian.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Knowing God is knowing yourself!

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel: +256 712 734 661

It is difficult to believe in what you don't know. It is also much more difficlult to believe in a stranger.

When Jesus came into this world, he had the aim of teaching us who the God we believe in, such that we may understand him and his ways. But this was difficlut because even the few selected desciples did not understand Jesus.

Religions have caused alot of confusion and misconception on who the God we serve is, and this no wonder has led to more divisions than the unity intended in human beings!

At this time what we need is not religion but a good relationship with God. Jesus never created any religion. In fact he said that whoever is not against us if for us! (never hate anybody just because he is not believing in your religion).

Much as we all know that religion is just a means of communicating with God (where each religion takes the simplest means through which its followers can have a better relationship with their God). Humanity has instead taken religion to destroy the intended relationship.

I intend not to attack any religion here. In fact I support all religions with due respect. I only differ with the level at which each group is struggling to create enemity among the believer to the extent that each one looks at the other as a group of pagans and a people without God!

Ok, we have a duty to spread the word of God but it is not our duty to fight for our God, afterall we seek protection from him, not us to protect him!

I believe it is our duty to understand the nature of God if we are to realise unity amongst us.

In all my previous teaching I have been hinting on God being a Spirit. The more we realise that the God we serve is a Spirit then perhaps some of these misunderstadings will be reduced.

Some religions have created a misconception among belivers that God is a human being or something related to a human being. Believers have been forced to belive that their God is seated somewhere up in a palace and with one hand waiting to pass judgement while the other one is for peace.

Ok, I may not disagree with them. We should also analyse the omnipresence and the omnipotence of God.

All religions believe that God is the beginning and the end, that he occupies all space (he is everywhere -even where you are now!). We should also believe that God is full of love.

Man was created in the image and true likeness of God (Gen 1:26). I mentioned somewhere here that God is a Spirit. So to understand the true nature of God we should look at him in his very nature -a Spirit!

If we also look at ourself in the spiritual realm, we will realise that we are able to do what God intended us to do.

The problem is that man tends to fear. After eating on the forbbiden fruit, (The tree that gives nowlegde of what is good and what is bad).
If you analyse the fall of man in genesis, you realise that after eating on the tree, man then started to fear (Gen 3:7-11). He realised henceforth that he was naked! He started hiding himself away from God and 'covering' himself away from shame.

One scientist observed that man is the only wild animal. That while the other animals live in harmony, man is busy destroying their peace. He jumped out of the cage and went further in the wilderness looking for peace that he himself is destroying. At the end he starts to fear himself and setting fences around and against himself.

I beg to leave this topic here now for one simple reason, let you please first read the chapter quoted above in genesis and analyse it. We will then begin from here when you have made a personal judgement. Perhaps this will help you to come back to God, after you have known who you are!

But know that you are the image of God, the question is how are you reflecting that image!

Our Lord Jesus commanded us to love our God and to love our fellow human beings as we do to ourselves. These are the two Golden laws. In whatever you do, please ask yourself if you are obeying those laws.

For instance, before you could go out to insult that bad debtor, or 'showing a lesson' to that woman who went away with your husband, ask your self, are you obeying the law of God?

If we do this then we will realise universal peace and understanding.

Is sin holding you back?

By Rev. Stephen okhutu

Email: revivaluganda@gmail.com

"In the same way you are to think of yourself as dead, so far as sin is
concerned, but living in fellowship with God through Christ Jesus"
(Romans 6:11)

As Christians we are expected to live a joyful life all the time and to reflect the Kingdom of God wherever we go.

But due to ignorance or some kind of misconception of the scriptures, many of us have remained in total misery, giving the oposite image of what is expected of us!

We feel that we are guilty and God will, or is punishing us thus living in the way we live! When I read the scripturures in Romans 6:1-14, I realise that this problem is not new among Christians but it is the very problem which we have lived with since the death of our Lord Jesus. In fact, Paul (The man whom Jesus personally taught the kingdom of God after realising that the so called Christians have failed to understand his mission), wrote to the Romans trying to address the same issue.

According to Paul, one should stop seeing himself as a sinner -Sinner basing on the Mosaic laws, but look at himself as one in fellowship with God. We recall that Jesus also faced the same challenge and this forced him to reduce these laws to only two.

I will base my teaching today on these two laws as brought down by Jesus -Love your God and Love your Neigbour.

We realise that much as many claim to be Christians, they are still bound in the bondage of Sin. They are still guilty of sin and this has greatly affected their relationship with God. Otherwise how could one be friends with someone he feel will be inflicting a punishment on him the next day or any time he meets him?

The Bible teaches that God wishes man to live a perfect life. It goes further to promise that whoever will follow Jesus shall have everlasting life. Paul teaches in the above quoted verse that on believing Jesus we accepted to die together with Jesus. So because Jesus overcame death, we believe that we also live with him. So in living with him sin has no power on him. Paul emphasises that sin must not rule our life but we should surrender our mortal beings to be used for a rightuous purpose.

In order to overcome sin we should always do the following;

1. Believe that we are children of God.
2. believe that God wills us to live a perfect life.
3. That sin has no power in our lives since we live in fellowship with God.
4. That we have the holy Spirit who guides us in everything we do.
5. That every choice we make in our life determines what our life will be.
6. That when we look at ourselves as sinners, we just make ourselves away from God.
7. We should always listen to the small still voice in our hearts before we do anything. It carries a strong massage from God.
8. In everything we do, we should always seek to establish what our relationship with God and our fellow Human being will be after we have done such an act.

We should also know that our God is a Spirit. This is very important. Our God is a Spirit watching every step we take and he talks to us on what we should do or not do.

The true life of Christian should be characterised with peace, Love, faith and Hope. But we should not that the most important of these is love. There is no way we can earn this life when we don't love.

Our Lord Jesus tried to teach us this thoughout his mission. He even went a step further to heal the ear of the man who had come to kill him! (I will tackle this topic next time).

It is now your turn to act. You either believe that you are in fellowship with Jesus, and be happy or remain in misery! In either way, the choice is yours!

I believe God has blessed you but you are still bound in sin that is why you even don't have faith! That is why you can't even love yourself -beucase you are guilty!

free yourself and you will discover the life in Jesus!

You can also send me an email we see how to realise happiness in Jesus. Write now!

Listening to God

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu.
Tel: +2586 712 734 661

"For everyone who asks will receive and annyone who seeks will find and the door will be opened to him who knocks". (Mat. 7:8)

Greetings to all the Moslems and thank you for dedicating yourself for a special relationship wit God, surely as you cerebrate Idd, know that God has already blessed you!

My reader I welcome you once again here, I believe the Lord has blessed you abandantly. I understand you have been praying pretty much to have the grace of the Lord uopn you and have at times wondered why you are in that trying moment. You have even tried to challenge the Lord for a blessing!

But in doing all that, have you ever wondered what plans the Lord has for you? And how many times have you laboured to listen to the voice of the Lord?

More often people miss opportunities while many have fallen into problems just because they have failed to listen to what the Lord is telling them!

For one to claim his rights as the true son of God, he/she must obediently listen to the commands and guidance which God is persistently comunicating through his holy spirit.

I understand that you are trying hard to get a solution from God, but do you bother listening to what he is telling you? There is only one procedure of having a personal conversation with God; Listening!

Heven't you realised that in your prayers you have been doing the talking leaving the listening only to your God? This means you have not given him a chance of talking back to you, just because you are not listening.

The fact that God listens to everything that you communicate to him means that he has been labouring to talk back to you but because you think you don't have time, or because you think you have alot to tell him, you have never provided chance for him also to tell you what you should do. Sometimes you may hear his voice but because you have not paid attention, you end up missing the whole information.

Mathew 6:6-8 cautions us against using meaningless words while praying. This implies that because God knows what we want to tell him even before we could say it, we should always just pay attention to what he has to tell us than what we are saying to him!

We all know that God is a spirit, unless when you believe otherwise. So because God is a spiritual being, he talk to us through our spirits. This implies that when you go tompraybefore God, you should go in spirit ready to talk to a spiritual being. This will help you not to miss a point. Our Lord Jesus teaches us this when he commands us to lock ourselves in prayers.

While praying, know that you are entering into a personal conversation with a spirit. In this way you should pay attention to that small still voice within you. It is the voice of God parked with wisdom guidance and commands that will help you come out of that situation. It is easy to miss that voice or to disregard it when you enter into prayer in a physical you or when you look at God as a physical being.

Remember God promised to fulfil his promises to whoever follows his commands. How will you then follw his commands when you are not listening?

Please call me back if you are blessed by this teaching, i want to pray with you in that situation believing God will provide an answer. Please don't forget to tune to Drum Radio every sunday for that live teaching. I will be live speaching into your life.

Money or Happiness? Decide your destiny today.

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel: +256 712734 661
s_okhu@yahoo.com

"It is easy for the carmel to enter the eye of the needle than a rich man to
enter the kingdom of God."

This morning I was counselling a lady who was complaining of her husband's bevaviour. Her problem was that ever since her husband got money, love and peace started moving out.

I know most familes especially well to do families live in the life like this and have neither peace nor love.

Should we then work to remain poor for Love's sake? My answer is no! In love or happiness, the ingredient is neither money nor poverty.

Let us not forget that our mind determines the biggest percentage of how we live. The problem is that most people postpone their happiness until the day they will get money. This may be good for people who know when they will be rich and perhaps when they will die!

But for the few of us who are ignorant on when to die or when to be rich, we have a duty of living in peace otherwise we may end up living the whole of our lives in misery!

The Bible cautions us against thinking about tommorrow for no body knows what tommorrow may come with.

Like the case of the woman above, She spent most of her life preparing for a prosperous life (or what in her minds was a succesful life). All her days she was looking at the day she will live a perfect life. Unfortunately, she failed to realise that life is what we live it. She thought the husband may live the same life he lived at the time when he was still poor! To me this was a total miscultulation, an insult on her God.

Money and happiness are totally two different things, though they are all essential, we should always aim at gaining happiness than Money.

We have the power, given to us by God to live a happy life, for this is what he wants us to be. the problem is in what we believe in. we tend to go for the less important and decide to live in fantasies than the reality!

Decide the life you want to live and live it now. You have the power (Luke 10:19, John 14:27) to create all whatever you want in your life.

Love, like it was commanded in John 15:17 and you will see how life becomes easy for you.

But spend most of your life frowning and soon young children will be running away from you, otherwise who would wish to live with a person wearing problems on his face!

Here are some hints on being happy;
  1. Smile. smiling will help in creating a lovely face and you never know, your face could be the reason why people are hating you and then you say you don't have favours! Your husband is running away because your face scares.
  2. Think good. what you think is what you are. Think success and you will be successful. But when you think hatred, your face will show it and whatever you say will be more like venom! You can not lie to your mind, whatever you tell it is what it will do. Don't wait until that three year old daughter asks, 'Mom, what is happening, you look sad?' in order for you to know that you are boiling inside
  3. Help. Try to help other people find opportunities. This way you will be helping yourself. remember Joseph in a prison when he helped the King's wine stewardess, that act alone was a gateway to Joseph's becoming a Prime Minister of Egypt. The people you help are assets. They will be the ones to refer you to that opportunity you have always longed for!
  4. Know that you are not alone in that situation and that it will not end with you. So try to think about some people in the same situation as you are in. May be you will realise that in crying you are just insulting people in real problem that you claim to be in. there is a story in my community about a woman who cried because she did not have a nice shoe. But the day she met with a nice looking woman 10 times richer than her, but amputated legs, that is when she realised that may be she would rather live without a shoe than a leg!

I believe God is blessing you wherever you are and that after reading this teaching, you life will never be the same again!

Please contact me if these teaching are doing a blessing in your life. I need to hear from you and also pray with you. I believe God has ecerything that you want in life, so please look upon God for your blessings!

The Power of effective Prayer.

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu.
Tel: +256 712 734 661
S_okhu@yahoo.com

I have been touched by the rate at which people are cursing God due to delayed response on their prayers.

Surely, this used to happen to me before I realized how to pray! Christians have spent much of their time in petitioning God than just doing what God requires them to do! The worst thing is that after spending time of petitions, they later turn to curse God the extreme being giving up Christianity all together.

But we should ask ourselves, who is on the wrong, God or me (me who is failing in my duties)?

To understand this better, let us first think about this; is it not the Bible that cautions us that we don’t always get what we pray for because we pray amiss?

We should again understand that it is God’s will for Human beings to live in a happy, peaceful and full life. This means it has never been God’s intention to create a suffering man. Perhaps that is why the Bible records at creation that God saw that all what he made was perfect and he was pleased! PLEASED because all the creatures was perfect. But where does the problem come from?

The problem may be from fear. Man has turned into a coward who fears anything in life. And this fear has affected Mans way of praying! It has even made him to forget that all what God does is perfect!

Our Lord Jesus said that we should not wait for the Kingdom of God for it is already in our midst. This if closely studied with the fact that at creation God gave us the power to co-create, You need to only wake up and do what is required of you.

The Bible provides in John 1:1-3 that through the Word all things can be made. The word was there at the beginning, was with God and it was God! So without him (the Word) nothing was made!

I hope now you are getting the point? Remember when the Disciples asked Jesus to teach them about Prayers, and what he said? That when you pray, make sure you don’t use useless words, because the father you ask knows what you want even before you can say it. This is wonderful!

May be you have missed it; it means that even before you have said what you want, God had already known it and answered your prayers!

Remember also that our Lord promised that whatever we should ask in his name would be given unto us. This guarantees that you must get what you want just on the mention of the name Jesus!

The God you are praying to is not deaf neither his eyes blind that he could not see what you are doing, it is only your sins that makes him hold back when you pray!

I now know that, from the above you now know how to pray. You now know that with the Word you can create everything that you need in life because the Word is a tool that God uses to create.

But you need to need to note this before your prayers may become affective;

1. Know that before you say what you want God has already known what you want. So petitions are not necessary. In fact most of your time in prayer should be in thanking the lord!

2. This will again take you to hoping for what you have asked for. Remember God listens to the inner you! So whatever you think is what he will give to you, because surely that is what you exactly need! Remember Jesus asking his disciples that how many of you will give a snake to your son when he asks for a fish? This means that God will give you exactly what you asked for. So when you think poverty, you will remain poor, think sickness and you will find your self in hospitals every other day.

3. Remember what God has done in your life and how many times you have asked for it. You will realize that few of what you ask are answered but more of what you think (or may be talked about sometime) are the ones that keep on coming!

4. Also note that faith goes with action. After prayers you will need hope, but this is nothing if you do not dedicate your self to practicing what you want to be.

Note that it does not matter what you say and how you say it. What matters is what you think because this is where most of your time will be spent that actual talking.

I believe God is doing wonders in your life and by the time you finish reading this, you will be seeing changes in your life.

Blessings and peace! Please do not hesitate to let me know what God is doing in your life. You may contact me through the above address and we can pray together!

Find me here next week!

Hope and faith; a gateway to success

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
s_okhu@yahoo.com
Tel: +256 712 734 661

Hope and faith are the major ingredients for one to be a true Christian. It is useless for one to claim to be a Christian when he or she is crying all the time.

Our Master, Jesus Christ said that whoever will believe in him will have power to overcome the evil one. This is a guarantee that a Christian should always live in hope in order to overcome the so called problems than living in fear.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Mathew
10:28)

This implies that to be a Christian, and to claim all the rights and privileges of a christian (By Christian I mean Catholics, protestants, Pentecostals and any other religion that believes Jesus to be the saviour), one should have faith and Hope!

May I please share with you that many people have lived miserably just beacuse they lack hope! I always see them here. You find Christians taking risks, others crying most of their time when otherwise what they should have done is relaxing! relaxing in order to find a solution to what they call a problem! And in most cases what we call problems are just ways through which we can enter into a better life experience.

I don't want to make this a long article, but please just read on.

Do you believe that what you normally fear is what always comes into your life? And that human beings always spend their time fearing things which they have nothing to change! Just like a child will fear his shadow!

Think of a woman who will refuse to move out of the house because she fears her friends to see that she is putting on weight. At the end, because of little exercises, she will keep on enlarging... until she realises that she should otherwise do the contrary!

The same with poverty! many are in poverty, just because they fear to invest. So instead of thinking about development ideas, they are thinking about the risks which may be involved in investment and discussing people who failed. (remember the question you ask yourself will decide the solution. So a wrong question will always lead to a wrong solution!)

Always have faith, positive faith that may take you somewhere! The Bible says that what a man thinks is what he is!

Give yourself that Friend in you.

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu.
Tel: +256 712 734 661
S_okhu@yahoo.com

Previously we have been sharing tips on how to reach full prosperity. But we should note that prosperity is a process, a long process that begins with you!

Like love, prosperity can not be bought neither forced. The only short cut to prosperity is love. Love yourself, give yourself what you love most; that is peace. If your mind lacks peace you will never love yourself and this means you will never have time to settle and think positively towards the prosperity that you want.

We often think that love should only be given to others. This will only earn you sympathies which is good only for discourage!

Our Lord Jesus commanded us to love our neighbors and he described a neighbor as anybody who needs help from you. Now, how many times have you cried for love? And then ask yourself the number of times you have given love to yourself!

Perhaps you just did not know what to do. Here are some few tips on how to effectively love that person in you.

Begin by meditating on where you have been that yesterday you have lived. You will realize that indeed it has not been a simple journey. Think about the time when you found life more difficult and how you overcame it. May it took a long time because you were busy crying for help from others!

Secondly, know that you will never achieve all what you want so stop thinking all the time about what you want. But think about how you will be achieving them! You will realize that you have saved a lot of time that would have been wasted in thinking about useless things. Note that when you train you body to think about only good things, the list will become big every other day and this will instead tune you to worrying!

Know that God is controlling you body and try to keep it holy. Not every thing that you want is good for your body, and as a temple of God , they are not pleasing him!

May be I have to explain this. You may love smoking, but your body does not love. And to prove this, you may find diseases responding because your body has ‘refused’ to fight them.

But remember, no body will give you peace until you have given it to yourself. Always keep the laws of your country however bad they might seem to you! In this way you will be adding value to the peace you have.
I will continue with this topic because peace was a gift given to us by our master Jesus Christ. We have a duty to enjoy it!

Walking your Way to Prosperity

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel: +2565 712 734 661
s_okhu@yahoo.com

Walking may sometimes be scaring especially when one is not sure of reaching his destination. This has been the main factor why many peopole have remained in poverty. Fear have characterised their life!

Today I want to handle the section of investment which I believe will take you to full prosperity.

Before you could embark on your Journey to prosperity, you should first note that God called you to prosper, you only need to know where to begin from.

Now I hope you are beginning to realise that this is a Journey which you should walk with determination! There is no way you are going to walk this Journey unless you have a leader with you! For this case, the Leader is going to be the word! yes, the Word and Information will be the Leaders through your Journey.

You should know that whatever you think is going to determine if you will reach your destination or just lead you somewhere.

Before, you start on any investment, first seek information on how it is run. This is very important in that it will help you; to kill that fear and also equip you with all the necessary tools to go ahead.

Remember, to walk a clear way, you need to follow a clear way. The only way to follow a clear way is by acqiring all the necessary imformation at hand before you start.

Last week I had a friend of mine here who had an investment idea some two years back. He remained with the idea but could not move a step ahead to realise his idea. Last month, someone put the same idea into practise by investing just next to his home! he was then complaining about how he had the same idea but failed because he did not have the necessary information!

How many ideas have you laboured to put in practise and if not, could you give satisfying reasons why you did not?

Many people live with very productive reasons but could not invest in making them a reality just beacuse they don't have the necessary information.

Also note that in every journey, you will meet obstacles which will tend to stop you from moving on. But if you believe that God is willing you to reach your set destination, you will succed.

There is also another factor of Lack or need. In whichever walk of life, know that you will meet a stage when you will live in scarcity. What matters is how you handle your needs. get hold onto the word and afterwards you will say, God is great!

Have I talked about opposers? yes, opposers are every where, in everything you do they will be there! They will tend to block you. What makes things worse is that these so called enemies may even be you! Imagine what you think, are not your thoughts blocking you from prospering? Just control what you think and think prosperity!

Remember the Bible says that God will bless you in the city and in the country. Why not take this blessing by walking into it?

Also remember that what you do now will affect your Children and even the grand children!
If you decide to live poor, then you will be placing a burden on all your children to spend most of their time trying to put up a certain investment!

So what you did not do for your children places a burden on them to do it. if you did not prepare a foundation for them to prosperity, they will struggle!

So please if you don't mind walking into full prosperity, at least do it for your children and the generation to come!

Overcoming Debt Burdens

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
+256 712 734 661
s_okhu@yahoo.com

The Lord will open the heavens to bless all the work of your hands. You
will lend to nations but Will borrow from none.

A brief study in today's deliverance crusades reveals that almost half of the problem that people seek deliverance is Debt burden.

Unless I teach you how to control your debts, my efforts to help you prosper will be in vain.
You will agree with me that all what God want you to be is a prospered being, regardless of your current situation.

Have you considered how much you spent last month? then ask yourself, did I spent my money in useful ventures? Am emphasising money because it is the major cause of problems in today's life.

Most people spend a lifetime trying to please others while suffering silently.

I know of a lady who tried to deceive the world that she is well off. In the process she borrowed from all avenues in order to fulfil her mission. This lasted for a short while until debts characterised her life.

Is this not the trend in which people are living? Borrowing and spending unnecessarily to please others instead of spending carefully to plan for their life!

Tips on Debt relief.
Let me first handle the preventive measures to help you minimise debts lest you fail to solve the problem after falling into it!

Before you start spending your money, Budget! It will be stupid to buy things which you will afterwards regret buying!

Previously I asked some of the youths here what they can do with $10,000 in case they get it by luck. Some of them told me that this may be the beginning of their death! while others said they will first buy 'Good' food and eat, drink until they are satisfied!

If it were you, how would you spend this money? Do you have a ready plan for such huge amounts of money?

before buying anything, ask yourself, do I want it? If you want it then ask yourself, Do I need it? this will help you from buying things you don't need but just want it because someone has bought it!

But still, even when you need it, again ask yourself, Can I do without it? if the answer is yes, then you should postpone it and spend the money in another thing. Simple!

Avoid following other people's ideas. You may also do the same thing but with your idea and this will make more important to you!

Let me give an example, We all need clothes. But do you need to spend half of your monthly income on a trouser and become a begger afterwards when you can get one that can even make you look more smarter at less than quarter the price of the other? And yes, when you are buying it, who do you intend to please, you or that person in your community?

I think in everything you do, it is better for you to be satisfied before you could think of pleasing others because they may even fail to be pleased!

Money Will never satisfy anybody unless we control our expenditures. But when you get credit from anyone, make sure you pay back, always avoid your debts to be written off because this may affects your financial image. Most people write off debts only to get rid of their debtors. So please don't fall in that category, work and think hard to solve your financial problems.

Remember Friends are better than your blood relatives (Poverbs 27:10), so if you are to destroy the relationship with your friends, do it at your own risk! Don't pay your debts and you will be sucessful in creating enemies around yourself!

May be I should tell you this before I stop this article, do you know that people are the avenue through wich God blesses you? However much you pray, however much you fast, all the money you want will come through people. It is through people that God will answer your prayers, so treat them in the very way you wish to be treated.

Using the Mind as a tool

By Rev Stephen Okhutu
Tel:+256 712 734 661
s_okhu@yahoo.com

I have been wondering how many people are living in total poverty! the list is endless but many of them are suffering just because they fialed to use their mind as a tool to help them come out of this situation.

May be this is because they have failed to realise that you are what you are because of what you think, what a serious problem!

I know of a friend here who has always complained of poverty but when you could consider his expenditures, it is like he owns a financial institution or something of that sort!

He is poor, true, but this comes as a result of what he always think! he trained his mind to think small and to believe that he is poor!

you may wonder why this is so! Is it not because we have failed to rearise that prosperity in not mesured in monetary value only?

Think about it this way. Who would be more richer, a person who does not buy food but never misses a meal or the one who has alot of money but could not afford a meal beacuse of financial commitment like debts and such things of the sort? What about someone who lacks money but is healthy, he has a nice house and all the necesaries or the one who has money but he is always on the run because he fears his creditors?

May be this has taught you something! We all need money and indeed without money life may be difficult but we should not take it to be the solution to all our problems.

Many people have even failed to work because they take themselves to be poor.

They train themselves to believe that they don't have capital to start a business and the end result is more time wasted in worrying and suffering! This means we cause suffering to ourselves, not so?

Could you ask your self how many times you caused yourself to think that you are too poor to start a certain project? and what did you get from that? Just discourage! but what about when you see a person you believe to be very poor than you, doing the project you thought you can't do?

I want to tell you that you are not poor, it is your mind that has failed to show you what to do. May be you have trained it to be like that! Surely I say unto you, it will take you no where unless you consider utilising it and making use of it.

That mind of yours is a tool that God gave you to help you solve most of your problems. So please stop using it in worrying because as a tool, it will be generating only the prducts of worrying and that means more problems to you. remember it is always working, either negatively or positvely.

Discourage it and it will discourage you! heard that? Discourage it and you will live most of your life suffering!

Put you mind into some positive thinking, you will see where it will take you. may be you will give me a call when you see results, not so? and I will live to be the most happy man because you have taken my advise. I know God has blessed you even before you have started doing that project so please, start working now! remember how Jacob worked for 14 years and came out the richest person? yes he even met losses but he never lost hope and he even never worried, he was focused on what he wanted to achieve.

Utilising the blessing of God in Prosperity

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel:+256 712 734 661
s_okhu@yahoo.com

When we talk about prosperity, most christians believe that this will come out of the blue and hit their life!

May be this has been caused by the confusing surmons from their leaders who aim at causing division in the church for their own benefit. at the end they have distorted money from them.

This means there is a problem!

Many Christians believe that a miracle will come out of the blue and within no time they will be rich! OK, this may happen but it is not a guarantee.

Our Lord Jesus promised that whoever obeys his command shall have supernatural power. This was a confirmation of what happened at creation in Genesis when God blessed Adam to Command all other creations.

The bottom line is for one to get blessed he must first obey the commandments of God and then take a step forward with his faith to do something through which he will receive the blessings.

The Blind Batemoius knew his problem and also knew that with Jesus near his all his problems will be over. So much as he could not see, he kept on shouting on the top of his voice so that Jesus could hear his and heal him. The same was with the Woman with the Hemorrhage and many other people who received miracles from Jesus. This must be a lesson to all of us that though we have the faith a Christians, we should add on Action.

We should stop looking at work as a curse! Let us all know that work is a command from God, and like he said whoever keeps my commands will be blessed we need to work in order to get prosperity, period!

It should be also noted that when Adam sinned in Eden, he was not told to work as a punishment but the punishment was put in work! This may be a bit confusing. It means that regardless of what you do, you still need to work, but if you work hard, you will b blessed [through sweating you will get what to eat] unless you don’t need to eat!

Jesus himself taught work and always advised his disciples to earn a living through work. In fact most of the people he appointed disciples were working people; some were fishermen, others tax collectors and many other institutions.

Remember when the tax collectors wanted to arrest him for tax defaulting! He had the power to make money through his miraculous power but he commanded his disciples to work for it – to go and fish so as to get the money to pay tax! If he could do that to himself what about you? Don’t you think you need to work in order to get the blessings? Like the money came from the mouth of the fish, the same miracle could also happen to you if you work!

At this rate, the duty of religious leaders could be mobilizing the followers into work. Starting up jobs that could help his followers get out of poverty instead of distorting money from them.

This reminds me of a Pastor in Uganda who mobilized his church followers into farming. He dubbed this get out of Poverty campaign. He leased equipments from the bank and started farming.

All the money collected from the congregations was regarded as investments.

The church was then to find market, each ones had to contribute a small amount in loan repayment and like that the cycle goes. Hardly a year that the problem of hiking food prices hit the country giving market to all the products produced.

If all churches do like this, I know the people would be blessed and even the tithe would come as it is supposed to come!

There are many other areas where the church could invest and transform its people from poverty. Personally I believe that if one believes in God and then remains in poverty then he is not reflecting his faith properly. This is the person I would call a sinner, otherwise why is he not blessed!

God loves us equally and his blessing is there for us all, it is only our sins that are preventing us from taking this blessing, by sin I also mean bad thinking, worry and fear! Some of us may even fear to invest thinking that their money may not make profit. So they take this money to a pastor to pray for the Money. No wonder some of these pastors are tempted to use the money! (And these things happen! People take millions of dollars to their religious leaders for cleansing and later complain).

More tips on how to get out of poverty

I understand that some people would love to begin small investments but lack the money to start with. I say it is not money only that can start a business. Start with the little you have, use the available resources near you including the people you live with, and slowly you will witness the power of God working within you!

Make friends. Don’t hate people just to prove that you can hate! Hate only helps to punish you instead! Do yourself a favor and help people in need since through them God may help you also.

Be patient, have faith but don’t forget to have hope, it is the best thing in life, in fact that is why you’re living - because you have hope!

If you have a business plan, tell it to the people who could help in funding it, you may be discouraged but don’t lose hope.

Don’t wait to start big; the little you have is enough to make you a billionaire!

May be let me share this with you; I remember the days when I could not own a penny in my pocket for weeks. My wife encouraged me to work and I tried everything I could but still could not make it! I will not go into the details of the problems I faced, but I suffered! My employers could spend over four months without paying me. Until one day when I realized that God has already blessed but I had to do something. I told this to my friend and within no time I founded a powerful Business which transformed me from within days!

I did not have the money to start the business but I had friends!
Because I passed through the same life, I know what I am talking about and I need every one to come out of poverty.

God is not looking at how many times you go to church, but he considers what you do, this will take his presence with you everywhere.

The Power of forgiveness

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel:+256 712 734 661
Email:s_okhu@yahoo.com
I LOVE YOU: Women showing love through a handshake. This gesture can do wonders

I my life I have seen many people suffering and sympathized with them. I have always wondered why God could keep on punishing his people when the Bible promises that he will love us when we keep his laws!

I kept on wondering until I discovered that what we call keeping laws is a misrepresentation of what the Bible means.

We should note first if we are to be good relationship with God that his command was Love. There is no way he should love us when we don’t love.

It is so funny how many Christians are praying these days! Cursing and asking God to destroy what they call their enemies! May be they forget that our Master Jesus commanded us to love and ceaselessly forgive!

Or may be they think they are the only ones that matter to God and so all the good thins should go to them!

But I say God loves us all regardless of who we are!

But how then do we suffer?

The answer is simple, we don’t forgive!

Forgiveness is a sign of love and when we forgive we prove to God that we are able and willing to be loved. Simple! Then God will also fulfill his promise.

Plainly the issue is, most of the problems we suffer are caused by us, because we have failed to love fellow human beings. So when the cycle of hatred causes its effects on us, then we will blame God!

This reminds me of a Servant in the Bible. He begged the King to write off his debt, because he was so poor to pay back. But he failed to forgive his fellow servant who begged for some time in which to clear the debt. In fact he just killed him! But when the King heard abut this, he had no alternative but to put him in jail until he pays off the debt.

Is this not what many people are doing today? And then we blame God!

This reminds me of a poem I read in my Secondary school. A man was praying to God for the healing of his Son who was admitted in a hospital in critical conditions, but in the process he saw a pregnant Cockroach trying to live. He moved from where he was praying, killed it and resumed his prayers blaming God for not being Just, why his child!
May he forgot that the cockroach he killed with its children also had life and wanted to live!

You can also imagine how many times you killed, or even caused harm to others but now you ask God to take away that problem on you. Do you think other people are happy to have problems and you are the only one to live a happy life? Think twice. The Bible says that you should do to others what you want them to do to you.

Do you now realize that most of the hardships we go through are to a larger extent a result of our ‘sins?’

Why don’t you consider forgiving that person? I know he wronged you, but do you think hate him will help?

I want to remind you that Jesus commanded us to forgive always because our reward is in heaven.

I know of a woman whose sister killed her daughter. This woman has moved for over 5 years without conceiving. She went to the prophet with the problem but he told her, the problem will be over after she has forgiven her sister. This was hard!

But because it was the only solution, she forgave her with her heart. As a test, she met her sister for the first time since the death of her daughter, imagine what happened!

Her sister was coming out of a public van while she was also trying to board! At that moment she felt the voice of God talking to her that this is the time! She hugged her and they all cried! She thereafter realized that her sister was living a very hard situation.

Within a year she conceived!

This means, her problem was not getting a child but love; she had to love her sister in order to get another child, much as it was the sister who killed her child! I know you can also forgive.

Otherwise you have an alternative, not to forgive and live with that problem of to forgive and live a happy life! The choice is yours.

I suggest that you begin by forgiving within you, then take a step and tell the ones you have hated that you love them and have forgiven all their transgressions, and hug or give a hand shake!

Or even give me a call or send an email and I will guide you. Remember you should do that before it is too late.

I remind you that God loves you and all his wishes to you are good, it is only you who have tried to be wild! By thinking that you are so special. Ok, you are, but others are also special before God!

Should human beings in Africa live like animals?

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel: +256 712 734 661
email: s_okhu@yahoo.com some of the people who lost their land due to land evictions in Kayunga district

The problem of Land evictions have taken centre stage is the politics Uganda.

At least thousands of people have become landless and land lords are selling them off to people who are evicting them without compensation.

The Uganda land law of 1998 provides for the compensation of a tenant before he is evicted but most land lords secure forged court eviction orders to throw out tenants leaving most of them homeless.

In Galiraya and Bbaale sub counties in Kayunga district, some people are now leaving in bushes due to the fate caused to them by ruthless landlords whoa re said to mind only about their selfish interests.

The government of Uganda was prompted to table a bill before parliament to amend the land law so as to include penalties for people who evict tenants from land illegally but this has also faced unnatural oppositions from land lords who own the media there.

It should be noted that the issue of land in Uganda especially the central region was worsened by the British colonialists who gave out land to the Kingdom royals and the church in the 1900 Buganda agreement living the majority landless but only mere tenants.

The minister of state foe elderly and disabilities, Hon Sulaiman Madada said that much is being done on the side of government to resettle the people by protecting them from absentee landlords whose aim is only to make money.

However, some section of the tenants seems to be raring with the landlords given the fact that this involves the King of Buganda who is said to own most of the land there and the fact of paying loyalty to the king.

What are the duties of a christian?

Carrying out general cleaning around the places we live in not only help to improve sanitation but also puts us closer to our communities.
Spiritual Revival Ministries recomend that Christians should engage in activities which make them exemprary. This is another way of spreading the gospel.
If we could live the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, them the gospel will be easy to spread.
We should know that Jesus did things which would help us to learn how to love others.
His teachings, which was full of examples; either in deed, saying or any other method in which he taught, aimed that man should love each other
Didn't he say that the 10 comandments were too many for man to cram? and he summarised them into two -the Love laws?
And yes, faith with out action is nothing. We should use deeds for easy evangelism!
At least this method has worked for me!

The Constitution is not a yardstick to measure democracy -Gadaffi.

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Tel. +256 712 734 661
Email:
s_okhu@yahoo.com

A constitution was imposed on Africa by Europe to enforce their ways on us. How
can a revolutionary leave power when people still love him because of a mere
paper? Libyan President, Col. Muammer Gadaffi

Many Ugandans who heard the words of the aged cerebrated freedom fighter advising his Ugandan counterpart thought Gadaffi was just defending himself –History has it that he is among the list of the long serving heads of states in Africa and probably the world!

I personally has no problem with monarchs, only if the claim to be so. Because after all is has its on advantages. We should believe that a person will do much as he can to defend his position and among these includes extending goods and services to his people.

If you study all those countries where leaders have refused to leave power, you will discover that they tend to get identified with the people –or they claim to be working for the interests of the people.

The problem is only that they waiting list of those who want to rule is long and they will not wait until that someone dies!

The end result is wars and spending towards national defense. This means the people whom these leaders claim to be serving will come out with nothing.

Then, even the advisors appointed to serve the nation will start serving the leader and the end result will be a group of sycophants aiming and protecting their positions than serving the public! After all they know that no advice which is not in the interest of the leader will be taken. So they learn to give ‘good advises’ or to be politically correct, they learn to protect their lovely leader!

But besides this, people’s lives are put in danger as the opposition and the ruling sides are fighting for support!

For the public, it becomes difficult to decide, if ones decides against the government he will be branded a criminal, if he decides against the opposition, his own people will be hunting for him the next day!

Take an example of the cerebrated Uganda Martyrs. Writers of historical books especially in Uganda have intentionally made the public to believe that these people died because they loved Jesus so much that they could not respect the King. This may be true until one believe that a person can lie by omission.

The teacher of these martyrs, Alexander Mackay, whom we should al believe because he controlled these innocent boys wrote that King Mwanga, A king of Buganda kingdom was exploited by Indian and Arabic traders at that time. They taught him among other things; smoking Marijuana and homosexuality.

He was successful in homosexuality until one day these boys learnt about Gomorra in the Bible! This is where the problem came from! He asked one of his peg boys to have it with him and the boy refused reasoning that God will burn him like he did to those in Gomorra.

The king got futile. Very early in the morning when he made a head count of how many Christians he had in the palace, it came out that almost all of them raised their hands!

Then he realized that no more homosexuality unless these boys are dead! He also feared that they might tell it to the public, imagine the shame it would have caused!

So he found reason to kill them saying they were spoilt by western culture and were not respecting him!

Is this teaching you something? Yes, let us accept that monarchs are good. But we should not forget that people’s voices are not respected.

We are bound to have more so called martyrs if we continue with these kinds of rulers.

After all, the so called revolutionaries claim to have fought to rebate the people. I think this is different from fighting to rule the people, otherwise, if it is ruling we better remain with those in power because we don’t know what the new regime will come with.

I respect Brother Gadaffi, because a fish enjoys life when in water, do you expect it to support fishing!

Is the Education in Africa of any value today?

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
S_okhu@yahoo.com
Tel:256 712 734 661

By the coming of the missionaries to Africa, education for white collar jobs was put at the fore front and this could have been the reason why a number of Africans got converted into modern religions.

Apparently, what seemed valuable a century back may be taken as the problem to most of African countries today.

Families in Africa have sold off the valuables to educate their children with an intention of helping their siblings in the future. In fact, most parents tell their children that education is the only thing bequeathed to them in life. ‘It is a bank account given to them in form of investment’.

Apparently, most of the children who went to school are the most unemployed just because the governments could not give them jobs. Any head of state in Africa now remains with a challenge of proving the youth with jobs.

But how can this be possible when at school the young one are trained politics and other irrelevant sorts of education?

For instance, in Uganda, The Law Development centre, a government institution awards diploma in Law, but after graduation, the students are not sure of where to get jobs. And the institution know this but continue to admit more students every year!

The laws of Uganda do not allow a diploma in law holder to practice law at private level. This means the student is bared from either starting his own jobs and joining the public serves is another challenge.

Would it be no better to train the young ones in skills that can help people in starting their own jobs than training then in useless careers?

What about training them for instance in vocational and ay other jobs which do not need more fuss in founding?

After all, the bible promises to give bless our hands. But how could this be possible when work is too difficult to come by these days?

Governments should encourage its citizens to work and not to waste most of their times looking for jobs. Let incentives be pt in place to encourage job creation.

Research reveals that a person who employs himself gets much more money on average compared to that who is employed. In fact, the employed only suffers over exploitation and other forms of human rights abuse.

Today, the government of Uganda has provided free education from primary through secondary school, but what is the benefit after most of the child’s time is destroyed in learning politics and such forms of training aiming at keeping the incumbent government into power? Hitler style!

Who advised that over taxing investors encourages job creation?

Until Africa has dropped selfish political interests, development will only remain in dreams.

Europe should respect Africa

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
+ 256 712 734 661
S_okhu@yahoo.com

‘Trade is better than Aid.’ German President, Horst Kohler

It came like a dream. Africans were transported to Europe to do the donkey work –to act as slaves. Then the raw materials were exported, finished goods found their market in Africa. Then Africans were forced to buy these goods without their will.

Pacts were made between African leaders to force western goods and lifestyle onto Africans. Legislation forcing Africans to act against nature, for instance the one to promote homosexuality and lesbianism were made in the name of civilization!

And now, life has become so hard! The west have realized that they have to do what they should have done some 100 years ago! -To develop Africa.

The west had to create a better life for Africans but instead they concentrated in the love-hate relationship where our brothers the Blacks were treated as if they were no human beings. Imagine all the so called modern literature paint Satan as black. No wonder more African children believe that which come from Europe is good and all which is African is satanic. Even the God has to be white.

We even tend to forget that God is a spirit which no body can give a human description. But should we dare explain this!

But God is for Africa. He loves it that even all the tricks made to destroy Africans could not succeed as they wished it.

Imagine forcing God’s people in Africa to practice homosexuality threatening not to give them money if they don’t do what you want!

Let us not forget that God had Africa in mind before he created the whole world. The Bible testifies on this (read the Old Testament. Perhaps this is one area where the writers failed to change for the favour of the whites)

What was called civilization was instead a devils work to destroy the world. Think about Australia recycling human waste to get water.

Do you know that the cerebrated philosophers who are greatly respected for their wisdom in Europe developed after admiring African Wisdom? Perhaps this is why they are called Philosophers (Name given to them after staying in Africa and admired, copied and wrote about all the wisdom they found in Africa -Egypt). No wonder some academic disciplines like Mathematics, Architecture among others still carry the African words and symbols.

I know of a country in Africa where you can find the entire natural wonders one can imagine of in the world. For instance, the very high mountains alongside very low lands, Very cold regions and very hot areas, Places with very dry land and those with very fertile lands. A land where one can get Fresh and Organic foods and fresh spring natural waters running. All these and more can be found in Uganda and other parts of Africa!

The west tried grabbing land like in Kenya, Zimbabwe but all this was short lived when the Africans realized the tricks played. Now blood is flowing in Kenya, Whites suffered in Zimbabwe just because the west tried to use force forgetting that the only thing God gave to Africa was wisdom. –The hidden Wisdom which the west called backwardness. The wisdom which the west worked hard to destroy!

But you can not kill an African heart even when he is dead. The spirit of his land lives even after he leaves this world.

It is funny to note that what Africans did some thousand years ago is what the west is trying to enforce calling it modernization.

However, we feel sorry that this comes after a long time when Africa is mourning its independence killed at the hands of selfish leaders whose love was only in money than minding about the future of their land. This has caused shame and bloodshed while those who instigated it are laughing silently. They ask where is the wisdom Africa used to be proud of. Where is the strength in Africa?

German President breaks the silence.
The German President recently on his visit to Africa especially Uganda and Rwanda gave me hope when he noted that what the west do to Africa will take them nowhere unless they drop all the strings given to the continent.

He only feared to mention that the west should drop all the insulting conditions put on the donations and funds given to African. And this is what we all ought to do.

Imagine the former international funding director saying that the best thing to do now is to trade with Africa than giving it stringed Aid.

In short, we should respect Africa than treating it like a dog.

Every white at this time should believe that Africans are human beings and to the extent even wiser that some Whites. Now that the Whites are seeking refuge from Africa -running away from the danger they caused to their continents in the name of development; in whichever African country they go to, they should respect Africans like their brothers. It is unity and love that Africans need. Not money, not insulting legislations and nothing else.

This now gives me reason to respect you Horst Köhler. Just in case you did not mean turning Africans into slaves at their own home. –giving them only the dirty insulting work as if they do not have even a small brain in their heads.

The Kenya Crisis:A Problem far beyond Election violence

By Rev. Stephen Okhutu
Contact Tel: +256 712 734 661
Email: s_okhu@yahoo.com

I had intended not to comment on this subject but something within me convicts me of cheating my readers.

You know, I had gotten used to the nature of African leaders –here In Africa the incumbents never lose elections.

At least that is a situation we had lived with since the colonialists decided to rule Africa with a remote control.

These leaders are the same, whether in power or otherwise. The difference is in to what extent they fool the public. Those are the politicians anyway; Selfish politicians that put selfish interest first at the expense of the masses.

Imagine someone rigging, or rather stealing the votes and afterwards pulls out the guns to shot at whoever protests against the practice.

Then another one who claims that his votes were rigged chooses to parade human beings to suffer the fate of death for his own selfish interests. Politicians!

What hurts is that people act so blindfoldly not to realize that it is their life in danger. Remember it was Odinga who helped Kibaki rise to presidency in Kenya but after Kibaki refused to create the position of prime minister, a position that Odinga desperately wanted to take, Kibaki then became an enemy of the public (at the command of Odinga). The result was the 2007 elections and its out come.

How can one resolve and with determination, to kill a fellow human being just because he is fighting for the interests of a particular politician, which politician is also working as puppet to a colonialists seated a thousand miles away! Where is the so-called African wisdom?

OK, I respect human diversity, but who says one will always gain what he wants at the expense of others? We all believe Africa is rich in both natural wealth and wisdom. But who is stirring up different groups of people in Africa so as to exploit African wealth? Can’t he really use his peaceful bargaining power to reach consensus.

This reminds me of a story; there once lived two friendly fraudsters in a certain African village. One gave his bags of cement to his friend to keep them for him. When time came for him to use them, he went to his friend for them. His friend humbly pleaded to him that the bags were taken by an eagle! OK, the friend forgave him.

Then his turn came. He also kept his construction pipes with the friend who once gave him the bags of cement. When he came to fetch them the friend told him that the rats ate the pipes.

‘Eh’, he wondered, ‘how can the Rats eat pipes?’

The friend told him that we are living in a world where eagles can fly away with bags of cement. In the same world it is easy for rats to eat pipes.

Remember also a story of the fish that lived in a fishpond. It was so proud and took itself to be so special from the other fish that lived in the lake. This pride could not allow the fish dig an escape route from the pond just in case the farmer wanted to eat it. Life went on so smoothly until time came for the farmer to make prey of it. That is when it wished it had gone back to the lake.

Let our political leaders learn that in whatever they do, they will remain human beings, regardless of how much wealth they acquire. It may even be better if they develop their political area and people, because this is where they will end anyway! Home is their last destination. And for African, No Black will turn into a White. The best is to love your nature. It is your natural identity anyway!

Perhaps that is why Jesus taught us in Mark 12:31 to love our neighbors more than ourselves. That is law for all Christians.

But how can one love a neighbor when at the same time he is pointing guns at him anyway! And he latter claims to be a christain?

Kenyans, whether Luo, Masai, Kalengin, Itesot or whatever tribe in Kenya, can killing each other solve the problem?

In Uganda there is a saying that when the elephants fight it is the Grass that suffers. Can’t my brethren in Kenya learn from this? Who can’t see that Kibaki and Odinga are just engaging the masses to suffer at their own expenses?

OK, let us be forced to believe that Kibaki rigged the elections, sorry, but what guarantee was they that Odinga will not act contrary to their demands? Ok, let us also believe that killing is the solution, why then don’t you kill Kibaki or Odinga than killing innocent people?

You are angry I know, but this is not a guarantee that you will kill whoever comes your way. People, there must be a difference between animals in the jungle and human beings. Maturity and wisdom is what we need. Don’t just get annoyed for the sake of it, but think. Take your time to think please. That is why you have those brains in your head.
